Conditions of Sale

General information

All products remain the property of CVI Automotive AB until payment has been made in full.

All parts are offered subject to availability. We reserve the right to alter prices without prior notice. All part numbers, illustrations and photographs used in our catalogues and on this website are intended for reference/identification purposes only, and are not necessarily an exact representation of the goods supplied. Whilst we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of product descriptions in our catalogues, they are based upon information supplied by the manufacturer/distributor at the time of publication.
There may be occasions - due to circumstances beyond our control - when specifications are changed, or when goods become temporarily unavailable. Certain part numbers have been superceded to an alternative number when a later version or updated specification is offered.

Prices

All prices in our web shop are shown in Swedish Kronor (SEK), and exclude carriage charges. Prices can be shown either inclusive or exclusive of VAT. If you wish to see prices in Euro, or in US Dollars, please click on the relevant button. Please note that VAT is always charged on sales within the European Union. Sales to destinations outside the EU are always VAT-exclusive.

Customs charges for destinations outside the European Union
Customs charges and VAT (sales tax) are usually added on arrival by the Customs authorities in the destination country: the exact amount varies depending on the regulations in force in your country or State – please check for details with your local Customs or tax authorities. Please note that payment of these charges is the responsibility of the customer, not CVI Automotive AB.

Payment methods

Credit card
This is the easiest payment method for customers outside Sweden, and also the method we prefer.
Just choose Credit Card on the Checkout page and you will automatically be re-direcetd to a page for secure payments. Remember, neither CVI nor anyone who is not specifcally authorised to do so will ever see your credit card details.

Freight & Delivery

Freight/carriage charges are added to all orders. Our standard method of shipping is via the Swedish Post office, either as a package or by letter post. All shipments go by air. Surface mail is not available.

Please note that - due to maximum weight limit restrictions - some orders will have to be divided into multiple consignments. The web shop is not then able to automatically calculate the exact amount of postage charge incurred. We therefore reserve the right to charge the extra amount needed in order to successfully ship such an order. We will contact you prior to despatch if it becomes necessary to pack your order in more than one parcel.

Delivery Times
We do our utmost to despatch as soon as possible after receipt of order, although during busy periods we reserve the right to despatch within a reasonable time.
Orders placed on the web site will be despatched using the most cost-effective method available. This is normally via the Swedish Post office.

Signing for a Parcel - Checking for Damaged goods
Before you sign for a parcel, please inspect it carefully. If it has suffered damage in transit, you can mark the delivery note "Parcel Damaged", before signing, or even refuse delivery in serious cases. We do of course pack carefully and strongly to help avoid these problems.
Some deliveries involve more than one parcel - please check that all have been received.
We must be advised within 48 hours of delivery of any shortages or damaged goods.
                     
Loss in Transit
If your parcel does not arrive, we have to establish our claim with the carriers concerned before we can send a replacement consignment. This can sometimes be a lengthy process, and if your part is needed urgently, a second order can be paid for to save time. We refund one of your orders as soon as the carriers clear our claim.

Returns

Non-Warranty Returns
All uninstalled parts, except electrical and brake parts, in their original undamaged packaging may be returned within 30 days for any reason. A copy of the original invoice must always accompany the return. Return freight is paid by the customer. If the return is due to our error, the return freight will be reimbursed. Please bear in mind however, that if ordered goods that have been correctly picked and packed by CVI are returned and there is no error on the part of CVI in any way the amount refunded will be limited to 80% of the value of the goods.

Parts returned outside of this policy or in non-resaleable condition may not be accepted or may be assessed a handling fee of 25% or more.

Re-imbursement is made by the original payment method.

Warranty
All parts are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover labour charges, failure of a related component, failure resulting from incorrect installation or misuse, nor will the warranty in any event be greater than the cost of the original component.

Warranty Returns
Parts that fail in use may be returned for 12 months from the date of purchase. Returns must be accompanied by the original invoice – no warranty claims will be paid without a copy of the original invoice. Return freight will be reimbursed. Electrical parts returned for warranty will be tested and if found functional, no return credit will be given and the part will be returned.

Re-imbursement is made by the original payment method.
Complete the return form included in each order, pack the items securely and use the shipping return label supplied.

Core Returns
Exchange items are subject to a surcharge that is refunded when a rebuildable unit (core) is returned. Cores must be returned within 90 days of purchase.

Cores must be returned in the original box or carton supplied with the rebuilt unit. Cores must be shipped clean and empty of fluids. Cores must be complete, assembled and rebuildable in order to receive credit or refund. You must pay all shipping charges for the return of the core and these charges are not refundable.

Any CVI Automotive AB parts incorrectly supplied may be returned to CVI Automotive AB to be exchanged for the correct parts. If you find you have bought parts which you do not require, you can return them to CVI Automotive within 1 months of purchase for a full credit to be used for the purchase of alternative CVI Automotive parts. If a refund of the purchase price is required, then a handling charge of 25% of the value of the goods may be levied. All returned goods must be in a condition suitable for re-sale and in their original undamaged packaging.
